Cambridge Optometry is expanding! We are on the lookout for a new Optician/Receptionist to fortify our eyecare team. In this dynamic, dual role, you’ll perform both optician and front office receptionist duties. We’ve found that cross-training employees this way leads to a more fluid workflow, better patient care, and well-rounded staff members.
If you’re new to the optical world, don’t worry, we are eager to train the right people. Bring your positive attitude and a deep desire to learn, we’ll do the rest. We can even help you to achieve American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification, which is not required but is instrumental for future career growth in the optical industry. What you’ll do: -Greet patients and answer phone calls. -Help patients select the best frames and lens options. -Assist patients with contact lens orders. -Obtain insurance authorizations and bill insurance for services and products for patients. -Place orders for patients through optical and contact lens labs. -Verify the accuracy of glasses and contact lenses received from labs. -Input and organize inventory of frames. -Other clerical and organizational tasks.
